Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures Campaign

World Health Day, observed on April 7, marked the launch of a year-long campaign focused on improving maternal and newborn health. Titled "Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures," the campaign calls on governments and the global health community to intensify efforts to eliminate preventable deaths among mothers and newborns. It also emphasizes the importance of supporting women’s long-term health and well-being. Throughout the year, the World Health Organization (WHO) and its partners will share practical resources and guidance to promote healthy pregnancies, safe childbirth, and improved postnatal care.
