Severe Hypertension in Pregnancy Initiative

The Missouri Perinatal Quality Collaborative Severe Hypertension in Pregnancy Initiative promotes rapid treatment of severe hypertension during pregnancy and postpartum using first-line antihypertensive medications. It also emphasizes timely follow-up for patients with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and provides education for obstetric and emergency department clinicians and nurses.

The Missouri Perinatal Quality Collaborative, in collaboration with the Missouri Hospital Association, created guidance to help Missouri providers better identify and manage severe hypertension and preeclampsia.
