Maternal mortality events, those where a mother dies during or shortly after pregnancy, are internationally viewed as an indicator to evaluate the overall health of a country, state or community. This report describes maternal mortality in Missouri from 2018- 2020. While it is vital to analyze these deaths on a yearly basis, the goal of this multi-year report is to provide a more comprehensive representation of maternal mortality in the state.
